Project plan

The “Scaling AI Impact in R&D” consortium benchmarking project will begin in June 2026 and will run for approximately nine months. During the project period, the consortium will meet for three key milestones: the kick-off meeting, the review meeting and the closing conference. Company visits to the five ‘Successful Practice’ companies are also planned. All project meetings will be organised and facilitated by the Complexity Management Academy.

Kick-off meeting

The consortium partners and experts meet for the first time to jointly define the project’s priorities and focus.

Screening

The project team summarises the consortium’s research questions in a questionnaire and sends it to potential benchmarking partners. From the responses, companies with successful approaches are identified and interviewed. Based on the interviews, ten anonymised case studies of the best companies in the field of ‘Scaling AI Impact in R&D’ are compiled.

Review meeting

The consortium meets for the second time and selects five ‘Successful Practice’ companies from the case studies presented.

Company visits

You will gain detailed on-site insights into the existing structures, processes and methods of the selected companies. This will enable you to transfer the successful practices to your own areas of responsibility.

 Final conference

The results of the benchmarking and the company visits will be summarised at a final conference. The award-winning companies will be presented to the public.
